I'm not feeling very much in control of my training or blogging at the moment - life just seems to get in the way!
On Wednesday I went to "Runfit" class then straight to swimming with the tri club which was an endurance session. I managed 1750m at an average 3.06 min/100m. This appears slow as it includes the drills etc which I do slowly!
On Thursday I had a parents evening at school so exercise went out the window, then on Friday I tried to do some speed work in my run! I did a 1.75 mile warm-up and then did 2 miles as fast as I could! I managed the first mile at 7.53 min/mile pace and the second mile was slightly slower at a 8.17 min/mile pace. I then did a slow 2 mile jog home!
That was the end of my exercising for the week!
Yesterday I went Tree Top Trekking which was great fun until high winds stopped play and then today I was being pampered at a Spa day with some friends!
So I have done some pretty low mileage for this week! I've even had to use another joker to cover my cycling activities that I just didn't have time to do!
So how bad has week 9 been in terms of mileage?
Well ... here goes!
I have not managed to meet my goal of 2 runs, 2 swims and 2 rides for the week however, I did manage to hit my distance swim goal of 2000m, so its not all bad!
So not a good week all in all but I have still managed to do some workouts!
I managed 2 short runs which were 7.62 miles, and 5.89 miles.
I managed 2 swims which were 1.37 miles and 1.09 miles.
I didn't manage ANY cycles!
Altogether a total of 15.97 miles for the week, 15.97 miles for March and 364.34 miles for Jantastic!
Week 1 miles = 45.08
Week 2 miles = 45.19
Week 3 miles = 54.60
Week 4 miles = 46.41
January Miles = 192.34
Week 5 miles = 39.21
Week 6 miles = 41.83
Week 7 miles = 51.84
Week 8 miles = 23.15
February Miles = 156.03
Week 9 miles = 15.97
March Miles = 15.97
Week 9 has been the lowest mileage to date during Jantastic and I haven't even got the "too ill" card to play!
I'm starting to feel ever so slightly stressed about not getting the miles in and I am worrying my fitness levels are going to get shockingly low!
Hey Ho! I MUST do better next week!
I have dabbled with Triathlons and have decided that for now I am going to concentrate on running and Open Water Swimming! I am very lucky to live in one of the most beautiful places in the UK and to have Lake Windermere as my local playground!
