Janathon Day 10 - Done!

It's been a bit of a stressful day all round but I survived and also got my miles in!

This morning I met a friend and I did my usual pathetic attempt at swimming in Open Water in the Winter! (One day he will despair and refuse to come with me!)

I'm not getting any better and it isn't getting any easier!

In fact today was even harder!

Not only did I have the bracing cold water to worry about but I had some waves thrown into the mix with hail stones added for good measure! The Photo's do not tell the true story of just how bad it was!

Mentally I couldn't relax and get into the zone and only managed a meager 250 metres of which more than half I swam girly breaststroke!

I am DETERMINED to swim in Open water for an entire year!  I will NOT give up!

Anyhow after surviving this ordeal I get home to discover that my daughter had "lost" her handbag whilst on a night out in Birmingham and therefore didn't have any keys to get in her flat with or money!

A little bit of a tricky situation when you live 150 miles away!

Thankfully she managed to sort it out and got some duplicate keys!
Her main concern (after stopping her bank cards etc) was her driving licence was in her bag so she wanted me to post her Passport to her so she could still go out and drink if she got ID'd!

Oh the priorities of the young!

Anyhow, after hearing all was well in Birmingham we went for a walk to de-stress!

Just a little 2 miler but it felt good to be out despite the copious amounts of mud!

Total Janathon Running miles:  32.48
Total Janathan Walking miles:   12.67
Total Janathan Cycling miles:      Zero
Total Janathon Swimming miles:   1.60
TOTAL JANATHON MILEAGE: 46.75

Postive thought for the day -  I was brave (stupid) enough to swam in Lake Windermere in January! How many people would do this?
