First run of 2015

I woke up this morning feeling decidedly under the weather.

Thinking it was due to the excess of food and drink over the holiday period I decided to see if I could run it off!

It was a very, very windy morning but thankfully it was dry!

I set off with a short route in mind and tried not to think about how heavy my legs felt or how hard my heart was beating and just focused on running.

I was pleased when my house came into view and I hadn't thrown up or collapsed!  I managed a very tiring 4.2 miles at an average 9.17 minute mile pace! My run can be viewed on Garmin Connect here!

I can't say I enjoyed my first run of the year but I am proud that I did actually get out there and run!

However, it didn't have the desired effect!  I have felt sick ever since!

A great start to the New Year!

So I have decided ... Enough is enough!

I believe my body is begging me to save it from all the toxins currently having a party in my bloodstream!  After what feels like weeks of over-eating and over-drinking I have decided to be a little kinder to my body and fill it with healthy food and lots and lots of water!

I have come to realise a healthy body feels better than a bottle of Prosecco tastes!

Bring on a cleaner living, healthier, fitter me!

My main concern is I have a Half Marathon to run on Sunday  and my Triathlon plan starts on Monday!

YIKES!
