Day 14 Janathon!

I haven't been in class today as I have been on a course so I wasn't quite as exhausted as I usually am on a Thursday evening!

It has turned really cold with a lot of snow on the fells so I wrapped up warm and set off.

Traffic in Kendal at the moment is mayhem with a mixture of road closures due to road works and bridges closed due to flood damage so I think everyone is abandoning their cars and taken to the streets!  Tonight I really struggled to get past everyone walking at a ridiculously slow pace, weaving around the pavement whilst texting at the same time!  Even my cries of "excuse me" didn't work!

Walkers seem to think they have priority! I tried not to let it annoy me too much and kept on running and smiling through gritted teeth!

Tonight I invented a new game only possible due to the traffic congestion!  I joined a 2 lane one way road (on the pavement!) at the same time as a Police Car and tried to race it to the end!  I am pleased to inform you that 3/4 mile later I had won! Although to be honest this wasn't a particularly hard achievement but it was hugely satisfying passing all these cars going at a snails pace, and I dare say particularly frustrating for the drivers being passed by a not so fast runner!

So tonight's run adds 6.21 miles to my Janathon Total!

Total Janathon Running miles:  44.93
Total Janathan Walking miles:   12.67
Total Janathan Cycling miles:      Zero
Total Janathon Swimming miles:   2.56
TOTAL JANATHON MILEAGE: 60.16

Positive Thought for the day: I can beat a Police Car whilst running!
