Janathon - Day 3

I knew today was going to be a busy old day as we were taking my Daughter down to Birmingham to start her University work placement.

So I was up and out the door to make sure I got my run in before driving down to Birmingham.

We had the most horrendous journey imaginable!  Heavy rain, idiotic drivers and roadworks made for a 31/2 hour journey to cover 150 miles! Then we had the job of finding her accommodation, carting everything from the carpark to her apartment, helping her unpack, shopping for food provisions (wouldn't want to be a totally bad Mother and make her starve!), locate her place of work for the next 12 weeks and generally help her find her bearings (Blind leading the blind on this one!) before going for our final farewell Costa and hotfooting it back up the motorway to my now empty nest! Thankfully the return journey took under 2 hours!

I am so pleased that I had the foresight to go for my run beforehand, as we didn't get home until after 9pm and it was still throwing it down!

This morning I ran 4.12 miles at an average 9.04 minute mile pace. My legs felt tired but thankfully I got the majority of the run in whilst it was still dry although it was very windy!

Day 3 achieved - bring on Day 4 and my last day of freedom before having to go back to work after the School Christmas Holidays.
