Day 16 Janathon - A slippy one!

This morning I only had time for a short run as I was heading off to Carlisle to celebrate my friends Birthday with lunch and cocktails!

So I had in my mind that I would do a short, fast one!

I set off out the door and after approximately 100 metres I changed my goal from "a short fast one" to "surviving 3 miles without landing on my backside!".

It was a bright and beautiful morning but exceptionally cold which resulted in the pavements being exceptionally slippy!  Whenever I could get away with it I ran on the road!

I was thankful to get back in one piece and had managed 3.40 miles at a 9.01 minute mile pace - without landing on my backside!  I was amazed I had gone at this pace as I felt like I was going exceptionally slow!

I don't think I will be running tomorrow as not long after getting back the snow started to fall!

I certainly won't stay upright in this!

Total Janathon Running miles:  51.94
Total Janathan Walking miles:   12.79
Total Janathan Cycling miles:      Zero
Total Janathon Swimming miles:   3.83

TOTAL JANATHON MILEAGE: 68.56

Positive thought for today:  I have some good friends who I don't see very often but when we do get together we know how to have fun!
